THE NUCLEUS OF ATISHA – THE KUNDELING MONASTERY

Since 1997 the Kundeling Monastery (Samanta Sudvipa Vihara) has been the nucleus for all spiritual developments and daily activities. The progress of the Kundeling Monastery rests on steadfast adherence to ethical discipline, learning and contemplation. The Monastery's community members shoulder the responsibilities of the spiritual objectives of the Trust.

The members of the community of the Kundeling Monastery are well-grounded in the stated monastic obligations. They act as guides in the basic educational programs, are capable administrators and take an active role in the social projects of the Trust. A daily routine involves study, prayer meetings and works interspersed with ceremonial engagements on special days, attending discourses, and other ritual engagements.
